Learn To Play Guitar - Calluses Be Gone

I finally decided to try a couple of free websites that promised to help me learn how to play guitar. After 2 weeks I think I was worse then when I first bought the guitar. I was at the point to start shopping for a chopping axe.

Then I found this site called Jamorama and decided to sign up for their 5 part mini course. I was blown away. I got more useful info out of that mini course then I did from anything else I had tried. I still had a long way to go.

So I decided to give the full program a try. It was the best choice I have made. I learned more from the videos then I ever would of on my own. They showed me the exact steps to take and they actually worked. I was amazed.

It is up to you. If you want to keep trying it on your own then I wish you the best of luck. I have been there before and I know what you are going to go through.

Even if you don't decide to buy the program then at least click on the link below and get their free 5 part mini course. It will help you out tremendously.

Buy Guitar Online - Calluses Are Just Part Of The Fun!

If you have found this site then I would be willing to bet that you are in the same exact spot I was a few short months ago. That new guitar you bought online was not so much fun anymore?

I don't even want to think of how sets of strings I went though because I was trying to get my guitar in tune. My friends stopped coming over becuase what I was playing could not be considered music except by maybe those really weird avant-garde type of musicians. Now I am not saying that I didn't have fun in the beginning but soon things turned south when the newness had worn off and I still could play one song.

The good news is that I finally made it through and now I have the ability to learn any song that I want to learn. But I can assure you that I was about to do a Pete Townshend on my guitar and smash it to bits.

Buy Guitar Online - What Should You Buy?

When buying a guitar, like anything else, you get what you pay for. But lets be honest, most people who start off playing guitar give up within a few months, and the guitar player just ends up a few hundred dollars poorer. When buying a guitar, buy something cheap, but easy to play.

The best electric guitar for a beginner is the Fender Squire. This is a cheap guitar that is very easy to play, and it looks and sounds great. This is hands down the best choice for a newbie guitarist. Another option would be an Epiphone guitar. Hold off on buying the Les Paul or the ESP until you are sure that playing the guitar is something you want to stick with. If you want to purchase an acoustic guitar, an inexpensive Yamaha will do just fine.

For an amp, a 50-75 watt practice amp will do just fine. You can usually pick up a used one in the paper or at a pawn shop for about $50. Although a pawn shop is a good place to pick up an amp, I would not recommend buying a guitar from one. You will be better off buying new.

You do not have to buy an effects pedal right away. Effects pedals can get in the way of developing your fingering techniques. It can make you get a few bad habits. Hold off on these until you have graduated from the beginner stage.
